You just can't handle that the quality of Chris' trolling far exceeds your own.
I realize that when you post stupid shit you're trolling, but it only works because the stupid shit you say is stuff some people actually believe.
I also wasn't ever taught how the age of the earth is calculated in A-level physics? Could you enlighten me?

I'm not sure I've ever claimed to not be a shitposter. But it's also not incumbent on me to explain to you that the earth isn't 6000 years old, and it isn't flat

To me, christianity is a funny religion because its foundations are "sacred texts" and the assumption that their god revealed himself via these texts. Thereby, emphasis is put on the fact that it is written. One could imagine that it is the story that is important, e.g. in the sense of oral traditions. But no, the important part is that the content was written down, then collected by the bible's editors and crafted into a "final version", where some other texts of similar origin are missing for a variety of reasons. That seems ridiculously arbitrary. Of course, writing was a big thing 2.000+ years ago. It is somewhat understandable that illiterate people were impressed by the idea of a story preserved perfectly. But today? Talking about a god revealing himself "in the scriptures"?
Whatever is written above: this is no financial advice.

The missing books of the bibles is some interesting reading. The book of Enoch is in particular a very interesting read.

Most churches don't have it in the bible, the church of Ethiopia do though for example.

Interesting when we look at which places have which books in the bible. and which ones Are suposed to be the word of god, and which ones Are not.

So it it to do with the lower bound of the range of possibilities of the ages of the oldest rocks when taking into consideration the uncertainty inherent in a random, spontaneous process such as radioactive decay?

As opposed to the inherent certainty of an old book

Lol. It's just a stochastic process. I wasn't implying that the data is no good because of that.

If you want to delve down into presuppositions, this is because the basis for logic, reason, science etc. in my worldview comes more fundamentally from God's character.
I'm referring more to "truths" taken from scripture such as the 10 commandments etc.
The basis on which one judges evidence presupposes the logical, rational creator God that preserves the universe.
That's your opinion.
On the other hand, I'd be interested as to what your most fundamental presuppositions are. Is it that the scientific method is good? Or that liberty is good? Or that the laws of logic are correct? Or the reliability of the senses? How do you account for the problem of induction?
I value observation and logic. The scientific method is humanity's attempt to categorize observations using logic, in order to draw conclusions about reality. I think it does alright, but I certainly wouldn't "presuppose" its perfection. The only thing I know for sure, and would consider the fundamental axiom, is that I exist.

Every discussion requires different axioms. The problem with discussing things with religious people is that it's impossible to agree on axioms, which dooms the discussion from the start.

Yeah, it's dumb that in the USA what you eat is supposed to reflect your political choices.
Also useful to remember that nazis were big supporters of veganism and animal welfare and rights.
I guess, in the US political context, you could say that support for veganism is one thing that nazis and Democrats have in common.

Small business owners that people don't understand and/or don't like don't count as small business owners. They're simply "hipsters" or "weirdos".

It’s always great when atheists claim to be the champions of ‘logic’ and ‘reason’, yet when they point out the flaws of religion they commit every logical fallacy in the book

There are no small businesses that Republicans actually like, especially Republican senators who are actively trying to drive them out of business
