So what. The public will see it as Biden's fail. And that's what some people at the CIA might want.
If they had to choose between being seen weak and defeated by the Taliban and having made a wrong estimation of how fast the Afghan army would fold, I think they'd pick the latter.
Let the politicians be the ones who take the fall.
