Is Trump days in office numbered?

Today we got the news that Trump instructed his, then lawyer Cohen, to lie to Congress. That is a crime according to USA laws. Buzzfeed reported this today
On Thursday, BuzzFeed News reported that Trump personally ordered Cohen to lie in an effort to obscure Trump’s involvement in the discussions for a Trump Tower Moscow project that never materialized. It’s the first known instance of Trump telling someone to lie about the president’s own involvement with Russia, and Democrats on the Hill are saying that this could be an impeachable offense.

I wouldn't bet on it (in fact I have already bet that Trump will win reelection next year) but it's certainly possible. Proving he's committed crimes isn't quite enough though, his polling needs to get worse to the point that opportunistic Republicans stop supporting him.

I mean basically the President is immune from being prosecuted for committing crimes if his party is in control and is corrupt enough.

This is why it's good to be partisan when you support Democrats

I mean it's obvious he committed crimes but that doesn't matter at all if Republicans in the Senate aren't willing to convict him.

The best lesson I've learned over the past couple years is to never put your faith in Republicans to do the right thing

If it is obvious that he broke the law, can they just ignore then? If so, I would say that the rule of law is broken on your country

Well there are legitimate reasons for it, having a sitting President go to prison would cause some logistical issues to be sure

@spanky4ever Well there are arguments for either side but the situation as it is now is that the DOJ will not indict a sitting president. Here's a good article that explains the issues with indicting a sitting president: https://themikerothschild.com/2018/12/1 ... in-office/

And now Republicans are trying to stop people from hearing what Cohen has to say, which is totally what a bunch of innocent people would want.

Jamie Raskin: Republicans aren’t angry that you are lying to Congress. They are angry that you stopped lying to Congress.
