I'm copying @Cometk 's idea for reviewing an album a day, partially because I need some new music to listen to, partially because I like to pretend to be the kind of person who enjoys new experiences even though I actually find them awful and scary, and partially to show up somebody I sort of know.

Post your suggestions in the above linked Google spreadsheet. Limit your suggestions to 2 for the month unless I later say I need more.

This is a fucking blight on the website. Everyone is trying, no one is doing. Stop making promises you can't keep.

Amazing! Yet another top quality thread. Why haven't they made you mod yet?

Do symphonies count? I think this one should considering for a while (and probably still) the length of modern albums depended on what fit on a CD, and:
Some article wrote:A standard CD can hold exactly 74 minutes worth of audio. Seventy-four is an oddly specific number, no? The length was decided by Sony and Philips in 1980. One seemingly unusual factor that went into choosing this size standard? Ludwig van Beethoven. Though the legendary composer was long gone by the time the CD rolled around, his seminal Ninth Symphony had a big impact on the development of the then-new technology. Several executives from both companies decided it was important that the standard compact disc be able to fit Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in its entirety on one side. Seventy-four minutes is the longest recording of the symphony.
Yes I know this is only part of the story and this particular article is overstating things but I'm just trying to get ahead of the ridiculous "this isn't an album" excuse

Duck claims it has something to do with "political capital"

You actually have to contribute to be mod, or just change your avatar to the ear I sent you

Politics as always. Thankfully the rising influence of the ESOC Council will mitigate the authoritarian group of the Central Committee led by the likes of Jerom.

Why do you think I won't do this?
You might be underestimating the time commitment of reviewing a full album every day

You underestimate how much free time I have.

You could do it in an hour, but if you want to review an album properly, you need to listen to it more than once. You notice new things when you listen to it later again. And then when you get used it, yet other things. Some people do this for a living, lol.

Review: 공중도둑 (Mid-Air Thief) - 무너지기 (Crumbling) recommended by @Cometk

Track 1: Why?
There are lyrics to this but not in English so I couldn't understand them at all. Tbh it kind of feels like a troll from @Cometk to recommend this, he's probably just jealous that he hasn't appeared in enough of my ESOC-inspired dreams. Anyway the music is too busy and not coherent enough for me, although the second half of this song is a lot better, much more fun and interesting to listen to.

Track 2: These Chains
Google Play Music calls this album "Dance/Electronic." I can't imagine dancing to this song, but I guess I'm not a big dancer. Also dislike the voice. This is making me regret this whole dumb thing but I'm going to stick with it as long as I can

Track 3: Gameun Duet
I couldn't even find a translation for these lyrics which is extra annoying. Not too bad though, kind of reminds me of Sega Genesis music towards the end for some reason.

Track 4: Curve and Light
Stopped even looking for lyrics at this point because it seemed like a waste of time and I'm already too far behind. In the beginning I have no idea what she's saying but it sounds pretty sexy, much more enjoyable than the others. Then it gets slow and pretty weird, ugh. Not a fan

Track 5: Crumbling Together
Before I even start, this is too long to listen to in full. Let's go. Fuck this is boring as hell, skipping the rest

Track 6: Protector
I can't think of any time in my life I've been in the mood to listen to something like this. Ugh. @Cometk make better suggestions next time

Track 7: Dirt
Pretty boring/annoying overall, there are some enjoyable parts in the second half but still, ugh.

Track 8: No Answer
Yeah so @Cometk is bad at giving recommendations, confirmed. Not the worst thing I've ever heard but still not very good.

Final Score: 2/10
Really, really bad. If I could understand the lyrics and they were great it could hit a max of 5 or 6 out of 10, but as it is I didn't like it very much at all.

Damn, Mid-Air Thief got destroyed. At least with Beethoven's 9th he only has 4 "tracks" to flame. Will be interesting to see if he can tell them apart
