i looked at one of the accounts it rt'd, hop skip jump...
Man, who gives a hoot? Can't we quote a funny tweet without first going through the account's whole history just to make sure they've never posted anything bad before?

“never posted anything bad before” an interesting contra to “nazi-adjacent”
shortened of phrase “a hop, skip, and a jump”; google describes meaning as “a short distance, as in It's just a hop, skip, and a jump from my house to yours.”

is it still required to wear masks in public spaces? if yes, what kind of masks?
generally no mask requirement with the exception of stores of "daily use" like groceries etc and maybe specific highly frequented public areas. i believe any mask counts as sufficient
@harcha sorry for the late response. I am barely here anymore. Masks (any medical one) are only mandatory in public transport I think. But a lot of people still wear them in stores. If you plan to go to Bavaria, they might still insist on FFP2 masks
The best football team of the entire galaxy has WON THE EUROPA LEAGUE!!!
I don't normally post in Off-Topic, but I will gladly make an exception in this case!!!
Everybody cherish this moment that will go into the books of history!
Idk for some reason most of the users from other forum sections seem too scared or even disgusted, for some reason, to participate in any thread here. They have this image of OffTopic as the forum's bogeyman, possibly because occasionally some controversial topics have been discussed.
And given that a large part of posters are from Western countries, there's probably something like a tendency to avoid participating in discussing subjects that are controversial because there's a stigma associated with talking about such subjects in any other way than the one that gives you social brownie points in your country (aka social-desirability bias).
Or maybe they have a distorted image of OT based on some topics from the past, but they're not aware there's a lot more to what has been discussed here than some touchy subjects from the past.
So the OT, instead of becoming the last active section of an otherwise dying forum, it stayed in a fragile state. It's enough for a few posters to stop posting that the whole section loses motivation to post. If there's no public, why would there be any performers.
imo that is just in your head @Dolan . there just hasn't been anything interesting in this subforum.

Idk whether its enforced or not but you are definitely expected to buy something, may it be even a $ in exchange for using washrooms in private places. Of course big stores like mcd or walmart won't care but if it is your local cafe or shop the expectation is there.
