From flowers or pollen froth
To wither on a young child’s
Display. Fetch
Me a ribbon, they, all dead
Things scream.

Re: Freetalk Friday 1
I knew when making that post the unit debate would come up
no debate to be had here imo, celsius is the most practical, kelvin is logical from a natural science point of view, dunno why anyone would use fahrenheit
can we talk about romanian cuisine instead?

imperial is more granular, which is barely more expressive for every-day differences.
the arbitrary measurement debate is always arbitrary and dip your toes in the water's comforting.
it's fun to engage sarcastically w/poc because i don't know why -- he wasn't born with the detector.

If you were actually given this option I bet you wouldn't even consider it because it's so impractical

why would it be more impractical than getting paid in wheelbarrows full of worthless euros?fightinfrenchman wrote: ↑20 Jun 2022, 19:38If you were actually given this option I bet you wouldn't even consider it because it's so impractical

If you run a restaurant and your "Soup and Salad" menu is one or two soups and 100 salads you should be forced to walk the plank

For AOE3? No idea. But speaking in general ping flood attacks are possible if the attacker knows your IP.TranceGate wrote: ↑02 Jul 2022, 19:28So is there such a cheat?Dolan wrote: ↑02 Jul 2022, 18:36Wasn't this supposed to be impossible after the game's networking part was rewritten to work on microsoft's servers.I have also found in other past games an intentional lag always and only against them, do you know if there is a cheat for this intentional lag? In the moments when they know that the fight is lost, they start this lag but not only me, practically all the players and it is impossible micro or try to exit the fight as there is a crazy delay due to this lag.
I thought the idea with that was to make it impossible to drag everyone else down with your lag
You might be able to prevent this if you rate-limit the ICMP protocol in your router.
But that might be an advanced thing to do if you don't know much about this. It's also different from router to router, so you'd have to find the answer for your own specific router.
