But I'm happy finally this will get solved and the UK will be out of the EU next year.

Agreed, the best thing about this result is that the government can move on from Brexit and focus on more important problems.

The scale of this defeat for Labour is truly historic. Losing the Labour heartlands to the conservatives is equivalent to the Democrats losing the American South to the Republicans. What we are seeing is a paradigm shift and complete redrawing of the political landscape. This will prompt Labour to rethink its policies and drop it’s misguided Socialism for good.

Or they will realize the cucking for remain was a terrible and betrays their socialist goals. Very similar to the neoliberal democratic party in the US losing its coalition because it betrayed its base.

It looks like Brexit (by way of the Brexit party) swung the election hard. Lots of labour losses are almost by the same margin as the Brexit party gains. Them not competing in tory seats was a great boost for Boris.

British Jews by and large oppose Netanyahu's government, the settlements, and the occupation, but ~90% of them still believe Corbyn is an anti-Semite, and almost half said they would consider leaving Britain under a Corbyn government. It's not "criticism of Israel's policies" they're worried about.

It found 90% support Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, but the poll also found mass discomfort with the policies of the Israeli government. More than half (58%) said Israel “will be seen as an apartheid state if it tries to retain control over borders that contain more Arabs than Jews” – in effect, if it continues its 47-year occupation of the Palestinian territories.

The poll is the first major survey of the attitudes of British Jews to Israel since 2010. It was commissioned by Yachad, a pro-peace organisation based in the UK, and carried out by Ipsos Mori, with independent analysis led by City University.

The findings will bolster British advocates of a peace deal with the Palestinians. Although the Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, routinely proclaims his willingness to negotiate a two-state solution to the conflict, there has been no progress towards peace since he took office in 2009.

The key findings of the poll include:

-75% of British Jews agree that “the expansion of settlements on the West Bank is a major obstacle to peace”, and 68% have a “sense of despair” whenever new expansion is approved.

-73% believe Israel’s approach to peace is damaging its standing in the world.

-71% see the two-state solution as the only way Israel can achieve peace.

-72% reject the statement that “the Palestinians have no legitimate claim to a land of their own”.

-62% support ceding territory to achieve peace, but that falls to 50% if withdrawal is seen as posing a risk to Israel’s security.

-47% see the Israeli government as “constantly creating obstacles to avoid engaging in the peace process” (32% disagreed).

Forty-seven percent of British Jews say they will consider leaving the country if Corbyn is elected prime minister, according to a poll conducted by the Jewish Chronicle, Britain’s most influential Jewish newspaper. According to a separate poll, 86 percent of British Jews view Corbyn as anti-Semitic.

The Labour leader has a tendency to use clear anti-Semitic tropes in his frequent criticisms of Israel and remarks about Jews. In 2011, Corbyn appeared on Iranian state-funded television and said that the BBC had “bias” for saying “that Israel has a right to exist.” In 2012, he shared an image of a London mural on his Facebook page that depicted a group of bankers, some of whom were drawn with clear anti-Semitic caricatures, playing a game of world domination. In 2013, he said that certain “Zionists” in Britain “don’t understand English irony,” a remark many interpreted as an old-fashioned sneer about how Jews can never quite belong.

“At the end of the day, you’re still a bloody Jew. It’s a good reminder that you are still a stranger in whichever country you are,” said Joseph Deutsch, 75, who retired from a printing company and is an Orthodox Jew and a lifelong resident of Golders Green, a heavily Jewish neighborhood in leafy north London.

“I’m speaking as someone in his 70s. I don’t think anyone in their 20s or their 30s would agree or understand. But just remember, it’s not a permanent home,” he said.

For some younger Jewish voters, the issue is mostly Corbyn himself.

“Literally if it were anyone but him, [we] would be Labour,” said Tanya Ohana, 24, who works in retail in Golders Green. She said she would have been happy to vote for an earlier style of Labour leader — a Tony Blair or Gordon Brown — but was voting Conservative in protest of Corbyn. “He is extremely anti-Semitic,” she said.

“Even if Jeremy Corbyn leaves tomorrow or Friday, this could be generations before there’s confidence and trust between U.K. Jews and the Labour party,” said Marie van der Zyl, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the community’s main representative body.

“The once great anti-racist party has vanished,” she said.

Under Corbyn’s leadership, the vast majority of Jewish voters have already left Labour

I give it 10-15 years. It's going to be a struggle, because the UK political class are going to do their damnedest to deny a new referendum. On the other hand, the SNP is on a ticking clock, if they fail to deliver for too long, this might take the wind out of their sails.

It also depends on how Brexit will impact Scotland's economy. I don't see any way in which Brexit could be positive for Scotland's economy.
