With the whole of Italy in lockdown Europe will be in recession by this summer for sure. The markets will fall even more tomorrow.

I should have saved a bit more so that I could use this opportunity to buy an apartment...

I just hope DE is not going to implement all of the EP changes. Right now it is a big clusterfuck.

The airlines are already priced down from travel bans, etc and the industry is already consolidated. The downside risk is that they go bankrupt, however, that is extremely unlikely considering there’s already consolidation, more likely there’d be a bailout. Long term upside is huge. Air travel is going no where, and delta is the current leader in the field domestically. To be clear, I’m not looking for a short term play. This is a long term buy.

Cool thanks. Is a larger percentage of Delta's business in domestic flights compared to other major airlines? I'd expect international travel bans to stay in place a lot longer than domestic ones.

I don’t think so. It’s probably comparable to United or American, but like I said, I’m looking long term.

In terms of revenue 17/15/11% comes from European Union flights for United/Delta/American Airlines. Not sure about what the profit margins were on those flights. and not sure about the share of revenue coming from domestic flights either.

I think a short term play would be seeing what Jet Blue opens at on Monday. If it’s around 10$ I think you could double your money in a year.
