FYI, public transportation is not just for poor people in US, at least in Chicago. Millions of people take the train or buses from neighborhoods outside the city or suburbs. The CTA is actually a very nice system and in the mornings going downtown every train is shoulder to shoulder with business men and women. It is most definitely not a poor person only thing.

I thought so. But that's probably the case in some cities like Chicago and NY. Much less so in cities like LA, which are spread out all over the place.
But then, if you have low income, you'd never go there, unless you're planning to live in a tent on a sidewalk.

It's incredible. Out of nowhere a plague has struck humanity, infecting millions, killing tens of thousands, the global economy ripped apart, world leaders put on the brink death, and even the proudest of nations have been forced to hide indoors.

And still I cannot get out of jury duty.

Here's a comparison:
Romania's population: 20.1 million
Sweden population: 10.3 million

We've been in lockdown for more than a month already. Still in lockdown until the middle of May, when people will be free to move around, but only if they wear masks and gloves in crowded places.
Bear in mind that, most likely, Sweden has a much better health system than Romania, but we have double your population and almost 1/4 of your covid19 deaths. So yeah, some mistakes were probably made in Sweden.

That comparison doesn't mean anything. For ex. Lets compare India and Romania if you want now :)

I know there can be tens of factors that might account for these numbers (differences in rates of testing, in self-reports, population density, connection to global networks of tourism and trade, health system's capacity to administer tests if they have them, the quality of those tests, etc etc), but still, it's an interesting comparison to make.

Hmm it probebly means something that its a lot more deaths/population. Not sure how far in this you are yet. The cases number means nothing tho. Its definitly not accurate.

Ye, none of the cases in any countries are local, its most likely someone from China went to some country, spread it, person from that country went to another country. Or from China just to home country, whats your point?

The point was when we found the first case. The 2nd part was just a casual detail.
We've been in lockdown since the middle of March.

Ye thats also one factor that matters a lot i guess for how it develops. If one infected person comes home and spreads it (probebly not The case tho) rather than 500 people coming home sprreading it.
