Let's not downplay the seriousness of the omicron variant, it's important that anyone who can work from home do that for the foreseeable future (forever) to help their communities

I was also largely joking about the virus being over tbh, I actually do wear a mask in stores still and I specifically didn't go to a concert last weekend because omicron. I still think it's gonna spread fast enough that by spring I'm gonna go "hog wild" though

Sucks being NL right now. We have the saddest ICU capacity possible, so we cant even handle omicron without restrictions.

This is very interesting. In blue we have the number of infections per day and in red we have the number of people with covid admitted to the hospitals. First wave is the wave of last winter (no vaccinations yet). The peak denoted with 'dansen met janssen' is a combination of our government being retarded and the delta variant. The peak denoted as the delta wave is actually just the wave following the summer. And then you finally have the omicron wave.

This latest omicron wave is not resulting in more hospitalizations. It might be because of the boosters being administered, but even then the chance of hospitalization seems to have gone down significantly. Given that we're close to 'herd immunity', I reckon that its finally almost over.

The new cabinet got sworn in last week and they haven't freed up as much money as the last cabinet to pay the actors in the hospitals so the number of patients is decreasing.

Omicron is anyways less mild, 85% cases are asymptomatic, and even symptomatic cases require less hospitalizations. So no surprise.

Dutch is a fun language. Ziekenhuisopname sounds like a combination of German and English with Zieken = sick, huis = house, and opname = aufnahme.
Whatever is written above: this is no financial advice.

Bought more. Their product pipeline is convincing and they essentially form a technological duopoly with Moderna.

No. Not until US collapses. New variants will come. This virus will be the end of US.

The virus that will end the US will be in the brain. A cultural conflict virus.
