Best cities to live in, in US
Best cities to live in, in US
I've lived in Chicago basically my entire life and I love the city. The weather isn't always great. So what cities do you live in or would you want to live in?
I'm specifically interested if anyone lives in San Diego or austin texas.

I have two friends that live in Austin, they love it. I would also say Charlotte is nice, that's probably where I would move.IAmSoldieR wrote:I've lived in Chicago basically my entire life and I love the city. The weather isn't always great. I’m in Louisville. Seems like a cool city. Nashville without the tourism but with Bourbon.

Lancaster, PA. It's a small city with a thriving downtown area and there's also a lot of nice natural areas very close by. We're also proudly known as the refugee capital of America.

Best cities to live in the US is like arguing for best licorice. In the end it's still licorice
jokies aside though, is there an American city with good public transport network and cyclist-friendly?

I live in Atlanta, GA. The weather is pretty whack, and the traffic is horrendous. The food scene and night life is pretty great. Big airport = cheap flights. Marta (public transportation) is limited but uber and lift pretty much run the city. Overall, I'm about done with the city and would like to move out to Colorado (Maybe Colorado Springs area). Oh and people drive about 80 - 90 mph always on the interstates. That is just what they do. Also, almost the entire city has Fiber of some sort. So, ISP's are pretty competitive in the city.

Oof Atlanta,I really try to avoid going down there because of the traffic.

Theres just a lot of people trying to get places on a road system that was designed to accommodate maybe half of the traffic that it gets, if that.

After Sherman burnt Atlanta to the ground during the Civil War, people handed a crayon to a 4-year-old and asked her to design the city. She did her best, but the only word she knew was Peachtree.

I’ve lived in San Diego for quite some time now and it rarely gets colder than 45 degrees freedom. A warm hoodie or jacket is enough to get you through most of winter, I’d say. It can get a bit hot during summer and Indian summer, but still very manageable without air conditioning, which I don’t even have. Also, there is pretty much no such thing as humid weather.IAmSoldieR wrote:I've lived in Chicago basically my entire life and I love the city. The weather isn't always great. I’ve been to california a couple years ago and the overall impression i’ve had of the place was great. The traffic around San Francisco was quite bad though, compared to european standards. I woulnd’t be happy about having to go through that every day. The climate was great though. Sacramento was alright but nothing impressive imo. I enjoyed much more the small towns along the coast (like Carmel, which is expensive af though), where life seems a bit less stressful.

This makes me feel blessed that NL only has 4 reasonable cities that are all close to eachother. I don't like making choices.
