I work with Flight Data Monitoring programs so I am the eye in the sky seeing all the good and not-so-good events which happen for the airline. Also other responsibilities would be generic data analysis and safety culture work etc.

Good, that 2000 a year is serving me well then.Djigit wrote:It's not if it's free.RefluxSemantic wrote:Is it also okay to complain about university?
Unfortunately university decided that people studying 30-40 hours a week is not enough, so now I have 5 deadlines every week and need 50-60 hours a week to get things done. Me and my mates have the theory that this is actually a secret stress test. Your grade will be the number of weeks you last without getting a burnout.

I currently believe this might be a secret government program. The guys that manage to last and get good grades will be hired by the government to work on secret projects that are extremely important to the survival of humanity.RefluxSemantic wrote:Good, that 2000 a year is serving me well then.Djigit wrote:It's not if it's free.RefluxSemantic wrote:Is it also okay to complain about university?

I had the same thinking during a Physics exam back in middle school.RefluxSemantic wrote:I currently believe this might be a secret government program. As it turned out, I just hadn't studied hard enough because of my smugness.

I spent basically the whole day on some shitty bug, just to finally figure out some component wasn't up to date and fix it in 30s

I passaged some cells for my group. Then a group leader from another group asked me to pass one of their lines and I said yes for some reason. Then I sit at my desk trying to figure out where a training is being held when the location on the invite just says “other”.

Oh yea engineering is a good thing to be in in terms of well paying out of school. When I was an engineering major the average starting salary for a mechanical engineer was like 65k or something

Sadly most Americans won't ever see Shoenice in their lives. Just another example of our extreme inequalityDjigit wrote:USA is something else and I'm so envious. Engineers in general are overrated. They're basically dumb but niche.

Site reliability engineer, the thing I dislike the most is not being able to explain to my mom what I do.
I also dislike the fact that it's 27 degrees celcius here, or 81 degrees fahrenheit.
