I realized yesterday we were missing one of our DTX-1800 units and I can't find any records of who was renting it. I found it mysteriously returned in the lockbox today but I have no idea who put it there or for how long they had it.

Iv been out to the same store 3 consecutive days(just for an hour or two in the morning) trying to deal with a hard drive issue in their main server only to finally figure out that the hard drive in position 1 connected to the first sata cable was actually a secondary drive and I’ve been switching out the wrong drive this entire time.

I keep having to help my boss try to get PPP money even though we aren't closed and don't need it.

Just spent 2 hours on the phone with the utility board trying to figure out why we don’t have internet. Got told it was something on our end despite the fact that literally nothing has changed on our end. Now I have to somehow troubleshoot a very complex network setup with only a baseline level of knowledge. Considering walking out and never returning.

It is and its easy most of the time but the company will either go under or get bought in the next year, I'm by myself all day and I cant deal with that shit anymore, its stressful to me because my role isnt very defined since everyone else in the IT department quit and I'm often asked to do things I don't even know where to begin, and I'm on call basicall 24/7.

i guess asking for compensation for out-of-office assistance would also be a conversation starter with your boss that could end up in a sweet sweet "i quit, fuck you"

I haven't worked since March. Worrying about money isn't great, but having a break for mental health has been nice.

Unlikely to be a cure for COVID if MERS and SARS are anything to go by.

A timely cure is likely a function of technology, experience, and exposure. The former develops tools, the middle is the natural habit of progression, streamlining efforts and improving upon knowledge, and the latter is a means to attain resources via. urgency. I pray everything is distributed for an effective result. I'm confident we'll have a vaccine, or else something royally went wrong.

The shortest time frame for an effective vaccine was always 12-14 months, fast tracked. We have another 6-8 months in store.

I thought France had pretty strict labor laws. Or is this one of those things where it is technically illegal but if you want to get promoted and stuff, you have to put in extra hours.
