[POLL] Call of Duty : Warzone

Post by Djigit »

So Activision is releasing a free-to-play battle royale tomorrow.

There are 3 very popular BRs: Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends (EA).
It's very likely Warzone dethrones the last 2. What do you think?

Pubg is dying cause its a shit game and apex is dying cause its super stale. This game obviously wont suffer from PUBGs problem of just being a shit game, and hopefully they can keep it fresh like fortnite. I have relatively high hopes.

I'm surprised this f2p has COD MW as a basis (their most recent game) and not Black Ops 4 or any older COD game. Good for us.

Not gonna lie though, it does look a bit boring despite thish good gameplay.

This ^. I'm waiting to play the game and I hope it's better than pubg in regards to server performance and anticheat

Battle royales aren't my cup of tea. I definitely prefer the classic CoD/Battlefield gameplay. But yeah, warzone has the potential to take over the others imo.

Same here and that's what is interesting here. A battle royale with mechanics most people are comfortable with. I'm very familiar with BF and hoped I'd be extremely good at Apex Legends, but it was way too different.

Warzone is a 83-101GB download for new, free-to-play users. Download could take up to several hours depending on bandwidth, service provider, additional regional factors and will vary by platform.

I've got a 640 GB HDD and a 240 GB SSD, which is ridiculous by today's standards. I casually uninstall and reinstall stuff, when I run out of disk space LUL

I've been meaning to get a non-garbage PC for years now, but I'm worried about screwing something up while assembling it and wasting hundreds of dollars.

It's very unlikely. You really have to do it on purpose, if you watched a couple of tutorials beforehand.
Personally, installing the CPU heatsink is what I found the most "difficult".

honestly it's super duper mega ez. like if you're worried about installing it wrong just watch a couple of tutorials on youtube. also mind the prices that are currently on the rise due to no supply

I feel like Battle Royale will ultimately be the thing that saves COD. They couldn't have come up with it themselves obviously, but they're perfectly set for creating good quality arcadelike battle royale games.

After playing some 5-6 games this evening, I don't think I like the game. The movements and mechanics are not enjoyable for me. I don't think I'll play it for long.

It's kinda fast-paced, right? In some sense, it's very similar to Apex Legends.
