chris1089 wrote:@wardyb1 yes teachers are protected by their unions from being held accountable. Sadly there are lots of bad teachers in teaching.
So how should we reform unions?
Do you have any examples? Especially examples showing this to be a systemic issue?
As for how to reform them, it seems like a redundant question to ask me. I don't know about the issue. Honestly, unless there is a systemic issue and not just a couple of examples then reform probably isn't even necessary. Unions should fight for their members and those seeking for teacher's removal should fight for themselves. And the judiciary should sit in judgement. That is how the system is meant to work, and that is the big problem with police unions. Is that the person sitting in judgement is always on the police's side, and sometimes even the prosecutor is too. But again if you have some reading for me to do, I'm happy to look into and change my mind.

edit: well til
Racists co-opted a symbol normal people used to "troll" people into calling innocent things racist. But by doing it as part of the "joke" it became a thing racists kept doing. Obviously it's not always racist but in this context it's pretty clear that it is, unless you're a certain someone else in this thread who doesn't understand what context is

Yeah but I would imagine most people who are scuba diving have some sort of critical thinking skills, so they would understand how things are different in different contexts.

Gun violence exploded across the city after the NYPD disbanded its anti-crime unit of plainclothes cops on June 15, with three times as many shootings in the last two weeks of the month over the same period in 2019, police stats show.
And the shocking rise in gunfire — to 116 incidents from 38 between June 15 and June 2, a 205 percent increase — meant scores more victims were hurt or killed by bullets this year over last year.
Gunshot injuries skyrocketed to 157 from 47 in 2019, a 238 percent increase.
With a total of 205 shootings during the month, it was the bloodiest June in 24 years — going back to 1996, when the NYPD logged 236 incidents.
Bonus:
The irony is that participants at that Seattle BLM protest who got hit by a BMW called the police after the incident, despite them protesting against the very existence of a police force.
I guess if you're a zoomer who "hates dad", if shit happens, you call dad.

It damages the society. Basically everything which damages monogamy is harmful. You will end up like people constantly fighting over for their primitive instincts instead of building together. It increases hatred, injustice, inequality.
Its a taboo though.
Do you think criminalizing cheating is a good idea?

You already use one or more part of your body for money.
