Books
Books
Hello!
I am looking for new books to read.
I have already read a lot of classical literature, now I would like to get to know also some contemporary writers. Do you have any suggestion?
languages: english, french, german, italian. I prefer to read in the original language, but translations are also ok.
genres: all
Also, do you know any website/periodical/magazine etc., where I can find good suggestions?

Re: Books
Any particular genre you want to get into, or that you love or hate?

Re: Books
In terms of fantasy I'd recommend any of Brandon Sanderson's work. The Mistborn series is a great starting place or the Stormlight Archives. All of his work is pretty top notch, great depth, easy to read and he writes lots so you are never waiting around too long for him to push out another book.
I'd also have to recommend despite being unfinished the A Song of Ice and Fire series by GRRM. The books just blow the show out of the water, and really is some brilliant writing.
Completely different genre, I'd recommend The Truth About The Harry Quebert Affair by Joel Dicker. Bit more mystery but was a brilliant read.
Recently read The Martian by Andy Weir, which is what the movie is based off. A bit more sci-fi but it was a funny, reasonably light read and was well worth it.
You said fiction but I also will recommend one auto-biography purely because I think it is a book everyone would benefit reading. Edward Snowden's Permanent Record was an extremely insightful book and if you have any interest in that sphere of interest it is most definitely worth it.
