As we discussed earlier in this thread, sex work is not real work, therefore you won’t find these people working in a McDonald’s

I often wonder how differently the world would react to things like this if it was something that primarily affected men's income.

Regardless, the ban isn't that big of a deal. There are plenty of other sites where people can sell their porn. The only people who will really be affected by this are newbie sex workers and consumers.

At this point, society might even mind less when it affects men's jobs.

But the ban is on porn, not on any particular sex. Not sure why you'd think that an anti-porn measure is anti-women.

Yeah, those who make money on OnlyFans by pretending they're dogs are fine, so not all faith in humanity is lost.

dumpster fire thread. going to try to stay out of this one. ESOC take notes on how casual bigotry thrives in that gray area. not talking about dolan per se

though I'd probably spoiler that video as I'm sure most employers wouldn't consider it sfw

Because sex workers are primarily women.

I mean, everyone has their kinks. Not sure what the problem is as long as all parties are engaging in consensual acts.

Agreed @Dolan please put that vid in a NSFW spoiler.

I have no opinion on the product but the signature is bad because:
- Ugly
- Literally only relevant to people who have an ant problem
- Useless because if you do actually need a product like this it's easy to find on google

The way to address parasocial relationships is at the roots of things.

From flowers or pollen froth
To wither on a young child’s
Display. Fetch
Me a ribbon, they, all dead
Things scream.

This is an incorrect interpretation of my take. I'm all for feminism but I honestly doubt that people mind it less when women lose their jobs. If anything, it appears to me that when its primarily women losing their job it's an extra talking point that attracts extra attention. In general, it seems that 'inequality' affecting women gets more attention than other inequality, which is something that I hope will slowly disappear when we fight against all bad things, regardless of whether it affects men, women or other genders. In this view, the eternal emphasis on women as victims is counterproductive. These sex workers are victims not because they are women, but because they are losing their jobs for stupid reasons. Let us focus on that.

Kind of hard to agree with that, when we are literally making zero progress on climate change because male dominated industries will lose jobs.

That's a bit of an oversimplification. There are other reasons. For ex factories in Europe and US have invested billions, they will need reinvest billions to shift to green technologies. Though I agree that new factories should be mandatory green. It's easier for developing nations to build a new factory green. But the argument is that building green factories is costly at the moment. So richer nations got off and now developing nations have to bear the burden while richer nations won't act. So no one builds.

The free market would work better if it wasn’t so greedy and shortsighted but then it wouldn’t be the free market because people (I am a person) are bad.

Why?

I think they are good as long as both parties understand what the relationship can and cannot do for them. It's just the new normal.

Maybe a bit hyperbolic, but yeah.

To engage in good faith, I'll add that I definitely could've been more specific in my disagreement with your post. Some of it rings true, but my most specific disagreement is with your first 2 sentences.
