Below is the list I posted later in the thread (my opinion), tiered. Alphabetical order within tiers, except in god tier where I ranked them by preference.
(this list excludes "full" documentaries, but does include dramatized docu's like Band of Brothers and Chernobyl)


God tier
My idea of a (near) perfect show. These are shows that I would (and often do) rewatch multiple times. To be in this tier, it can't have any major flaws (think game of thrones, which would have been in here if it didn't start fucking up in later seasons).

Must-see tier
These are shows that stood out to me in a major way and I would gladly rewatch, but (in some cases barely) don't make the cut to God tier. With the exception of specific subjects or genres you strongly dislike, I would highly recommend all of these.

"See if it's for you" tier
Watch these if the premise appeals to you, or if you're a fan TV shows. These are shows I watched and enjoyed but in some cases didn't finish completely, and would probably not watch again.

The Mentalist, anyone?

Suits & HouseofCards for me rival GoT.

All top 3 though.

Never got into breaking bad though, just meh, not a fan of theme.

Havn't seen the mentalist venox ') I think you mentioned it before to me. I only have time for one show at a time.

Game of Thrones is like the iroquois of TV, others come close but still can't beat it.

Sons of anarchy, breaking bad season 1 and 2 were good but after that i kinda got bored of it.

More recently, True detective and House of cards are favourites of mine. And yeah, GoT is great.

Obviously The Wire. One of the most genuine TV series.

Now watching The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul.

I can see why people like house of cards but I'm not the biggest fan.

Since everything that has been posted so far are dramas I'll throw in some comedies with archer, trailer park boys, and arrested development.

I'll give inbetweeners and friday night dinner a little love too for jenkins )

Wow I''d completely forgotten about friday night dinner, ima have to check if there is a new series out for that.

I dont know how much house of cards youve watched, but this last season has really turned me off. Didnt like it at all.

Yea I watched it. The acting and cinematography and music is super good, Im just not the biggest fan of the plot.

And gs I loved parks and rec but the later seasons werent that great imo. Never finished it but I guess I will now that its over.
