What are some dope ass board games you have played and would suggest to others? I've been collecting a few lately and I'm looking for more.

Some I would suggest:

Star Wars Epic Duels
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Axis and Allies (OG and Europe)
Settlers of Catan
VIRTZN and CM1993 are my friends and they never cheat. everyone should add them. kappa

In France chess is recognized as a sport since 2000, please don''t depreciate it as a mere board game such as monopoly...

so it star craft not a RTS? just curious about the logic..... even thought it may be a competitive sport its still an RTs and liekwise Chess is a board game that can be played competitively like a sport. but is it really a sport?

definition of sport:
an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.
2.
a particular form of this, especially in the out of doors.
3.
diversion' recreation' pleasant pastime.

so the first 2 main parts does not seem like either would be a sport, but the 3rd definition would make just about any game a sport

however i must agree, chess is the ultimate board game with the most strategy that is easy to play but hard to master, while monopoly is pure luck

cheat your cubes? anything that relies on dice throws is a luck game. yes there is some strategy in making deals for property trades etc... but mostly its luck as to what tile you land on, if you get chance, or go to jail.

But in the long run, a more skillful player will win more games.

its still a luck game, a skilled/ experienced players odds of winning aren't that much greater as a beginner, but take something like a chess wizard who will win almost every time vs a new player. I think that's what makes it a family game, is that all players are kind of equal and kids can win vs adults. monopoly is so much luck/ statistical odds based. unless someone found out a way to skillfully roll the dice the way they want them maybe with a little ESP telekinesis.
