I think Johnson would rather go to prison and become a Brexit martyr than ask for a new extension.

But then, EU leaders don't seem interested in offering yet another extension, just for the sake of it. If there are not going to be any substantial reasons for it (like new elections, another referendum), it's very likely opposition to another extension will grow even stronger than it was last time.

Idk, if I were EU leaders I would accept another extension here. The UK is such a mess politically that the EU may want to wait it out a bit and hope they don't end up leaving at all.

Isn't it an awesome time to be alive?
No one has any clue what will happen in the UK over the course of the next 4 weeks. Between people dying due to social unrest (e.g. Northern Ireland conflict), an economic meltdown with mass lay-offs and food shortages, and the UK simply staying in the EU without many changes, anything seems possible.
This is an amount of uncertainty not seen for some time.

And I can watch it all via television and youtube sitting in my cozy armchair drinking a hot chocolate.

Well, frankly, from a political point of view, politicians in the UK cannot simply override the result of the 2016 referendum and decide to cancel the UK's article 50 withdrawal request. The only way in which you could credibly claim that is by holding another referendum and getting another, updated version of the country's political will.

If another referendum doesn't happen, all this speculation about Brexit not happening can only be theoretical. Brexit will happen, it's all just a question of how and when, not of if. UK politicians can't simply ignore the result of that referendum and the withdrawal act that they passed, which put the country on a course for leaving the EU. This act would have to be repealed and the public would want to know why the MPs that voted in its favour in 2018 now want to revoke it. They would risk deepening the current political divide that exists in the UK's electorate.

By all recent accounts, Johnson is trying to get a compromise solution to the Irish conundrum, but the Irish don't seem so thrilled about this time-limited "double-border solution" he came up with. It might be part of Johnsons' tactics of pretending to work on a deal, while running down the clock.

In my opinion, this is highly debatable. Firstly, the referendum is not legally binding which permits parliament to just ignore it. Secondly, it is not the first referendum on the topic in UK history, allowing to ask the question whether it is useful to ask the population more than once. To quote wikipedia:
"In accordance with the Act, the European Communities membership referendum took place on Thursday 5 June 1975, and voters approved continued EC/EEC membership by 67% to 33% on a national turnout of 64%." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referendum_Act_1975)

The Brexiteers oppose a new referendum, saying that you should not hold referenda until the correct results appear. But that is precisely what already happened here...

They can. That's the fun part of the story. Anything can happen and it would even be legal! The population does not trust any of the people in parliament anyway. There are no real consequences!

Wrong... Neither candidate got 50% of all votes (48.2% for Clinton, 46.1% for Trump).

They voted to get 350m per week for the NHS which, admittedly, needs the money.

Bad news for Corbynistas: Tories are more likely to be attractive than socialists, a study has concluded.

“We find that more attractive individuals are more likely to report higher levels of political efficacy, identify as conservative, and identify as Republican,” say the authors of the study, by Susquehanna and Illinois State Universities.

Makes sense that there would be a negative correlation between physical attractiveness and empathy.
