There is one other ISP here, but they are also quite expensive and only offer satellite service. They're more unreliable than our current ISP, sadly.

Had fiber at moms place. Moved to an apartment a year ago, was using unlimited 4G from my cellphone (I pay 16 eur per month for this number), but decided to upgrade to fiber as I renewed the apartment contract.
Your typical fiber connection (costs 14 eur):
Glad that I dont have to rely on 4G, intermittent coverage and VPNs to play...

13,90 EUR to be precise, but the company has shit transaction handler so I have to pay extra 50 cent for processing.

It depends on your income. For example, if you happen to work remotely for a Western company and get paid on their level of income, you can basically live like a king with just a few thousand euros. The purchasing power is just ridiculous.

I highly doubt you'll be getting paid western wages for the same job in Romania as in a western country , otherwise there would be no point outsourcing the labour
well i know some people who work in switzerland, live in france and shop in germany, those border towns are quite cool.
there are even some in my work who are employed from canada, usa and previously also france, and basically live in latvia.
some ppl do get lucky like that...
