I wouldn't necessarily call it pseudoscience. It is useful for the reasons I have already mentioned. It's also scientific in the sense that many psychological/sociologically tests/surveys are. It's simply a metric. Sure, there's no physical measurements. But if it helps one with their own personal insight and insight into others, where's the harm? It's fun and can be enlightening. :flowers:

Who's the other infj? I want to talk to you.

Edited to add: I also don't like putting people into boxes. Tests like these simply show a predisposition.

Indulge us

Today im too lazy to argue my own case, so i googled it

"We're not helping ourselves when we pin ourselves into categories that will limit us," Little says. "I prefer to not to look at the traits we have but the deeds we do, the projects we pursue, as more of a fruitful inroad into human personality."

http://www.businessinsider.com/myers-br ... &r=US&IR=T

I mean, after taking this 15 min test I feel I've no more placed restrictions on my character than before. I think it'd be silly if one did.

it depends on how seriously you take the test, duh.

if it is used, as in LD's example, then it's (or can be) restricting

Well then that's no fault of the test itself.

It's not. It's a test. It's also not the fault of the horoscope that people believe that stuff. However, it's partly the fault of the people who market it as if it's the holy grail of identity theory.

At times. At other times I could also be perceived as about half of the other types.

The last two times I did this I got the same result. Result from less than three months ago:

I took the test again today and I mostly got the same results, but apparently I am a lot more intuitive now than I was three months ago:

Mine says Logician INTP, sounds about right. Fun test but I don't know what to do with the result.

Also unsurprisingly according to the poll we have 29 Introvert vs 5 Extrovert

I did a similar test some years ago, but I don't remember what I was. Now I got ISTP-T (Virtuoso)

"Commander Personality" ENTJ, -A/-T ,Idk about that. depends on the day really, strategic and logic thinking as well as taking initiative in general yes, but not actually intolerant or impatient. Just horoscope stuff

It's true all those types of tests need a psychologist/psychiatrist/etc to support them. We are all susceptible to cold reading.
