all I saw is recommended sleep. At least for me, I absolutely need four hours of sleep if Im going to be able to function the next day. But every minute of class is a struggle and I usually nap when I get home from school. At six hours I can function perfectly fine and not be tired til about 10 or 11 in the evening.

6 hours is part of whats recommended for your age category so I dont see any problem. My 10 hours a night is also included ')
No! That varies from person to person. 9 might be too much for you, but it might not even be enough for me. During vacation I can consistently sleep 10 hours every night and feel fine.

Nah you are just lazy and/or have an easy life. If I didn''t have anything better to do I would sleep all day too. In the other hand you also post here all the time. It kind of puzzles me how you manage really. I mean IIRC you are in uni atm.

I only started yesterday lol, and the past weeks Ive been lying on bed recovering from surgery. Also, mobile forumming is awesome and very easy.
But seriously, Im tired if I sleep less than 9 hours, regardless of my activity levels, and I go to bed as late as possible lol.
I drink plenty of coffee. It's well known that sleep requirements differ per person. Whats sleeping too much might be just right for me, and what sleeping just enough might be for you might make me feel like Im going to fall over.
Studies are showing teenagers release melatonin later, and require 8-10 hours, not just 8.
Where schools have delayed start times graduation rates and grades have gone up.

You should get that looked at, sounds like sleep apnea
I will be dong a sleep study in a couple weeks when I'm back home. Previously this only happened to me once or twice like 10 years ago but it has now happened twice in the span of a couple weeks which is concerning
Do you have a blood pressure monitor? Get a reading after such an episode and see if the pulse is high (>100).
I don't, but when I lived with my parents I once used my mom's blood pressure reader and put it on incorrectly and belived myself to have insanely high blood pressure so I went to the hospital because I was having a panic attack and thought death was imminent. I was fine but had to pay $2700 for the mistake of being careful
