It would probably be nothing less that inpractical and annoying to play.

It would get tedious after fifteen minutes and I can imagine it having all kinds of issues with functionality. Not to mention it will probably be expensive as well.

Because you die when you get shot in real life.

Even without functionality issues, I just cant imagine it being more useful for serious gaming. Like, its probably way less efficient to do it that way than it is to just use a mouse and keyboard.

Its exactly like Kinect. Sounds really cool, but probably wont create good gameplay except for some stupid dancing game.

You can wear armor or use a paintball gun. It would certainly be more meaningful and exciting than changing pixels on a screen.
Paintball is cool, but expensive tbh.

Really though, people play video games because of the challenging/fun scenarios they can make there, that they cannot make in real life. Something like aoe3 cant be done in real life for example. Theres also the aspect that you can easily find people to play the games with online.

There can be no reasonable basis for discussion if you cannot accept that there is more objective meaning in reaching level 99 cooking in Runescape than in becoming an actual chef.

Because convenience and possibilities. People are trying to build RealLife+ (patent pending) which means getting as close to RL as possible and adding god powers, a UI, endless possibilities and complete safety. The search for this software will never stop, so gaming will get closer and closer to a real life experience.

Baby steps though, it''s not looking all that impressive yet.
The downside: It''ll probably be the end of the RTS genre :(
