The thing is A414A was a very small community, everyone liked each other and everyone was reasonable, but this is a big community and if you just let everyone do what they want it's going to be chaos.
So it's not really comparable. Also, we don't make the rules here, not alone anyway

Its just not amazing and a bit inflexible. Im pretty sure we did a 2v2 where you used VC and I went for a nongreedy brit style with quite a few units early on, resulting in us being about even all game long.

Not really. I am not seeing any potential bad effects of a lax moderation policy. Just look at all the topics that have been closed. You truly think there'd be chaos if they were reopened? I mean barely six people post here anymore, and most regulars have long left.

Those are our own clan forums though and ESOC is supposed to be more open and also a community hub. Complete and total freedom of speech is a beautiful thing but it also difficult to stomach for some; it's just not a good thing to have anyone feel alienated on a community forum.

I'm more than fine with the policy of keeping things clean on ESOC. it's just that it should not become excessive otherwise there's simply no discussion anyway. It's a fine and very difficult balance to find though. I digress!

So when a post's deleted because it criticized pedophilia, that is simply you avoiding alienating any potential pedophile members?
