I just hope DE is not going to implement all of the EP changes. Right now it is a big clusterfuck.

Im happy about this, Tom Dumoulin is a great rider and person. Weve always had many decent dutch riders, but relatively little victories. This season finally things seem to come together (evrn with the bad luck of kruijswijk). As a dutch cycling fan that makes me happy.

I never understood the appeal of watching cycling events.
If you're cycling yourself maybe you do understand more about the niceties of cycling. I can't be bothered to watch an event which lasts days before it's over and which only involves guys in tights peddalling away for tens of kilometres.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A lot of what makes it interesting is the strategy and tactics. The cycling journos like to call it chess on wheels, but yea you have to understand the game and the strategy for it to be interesting.

Its not quite as strategic, often its just the strongest that wins, especially in long climbs. I think its mostly fun to watch in the background, like while browsing esoc or playing aoe.

Well unfortunately the TDF is the race which tactics probably matters the least. But something like Paris-Roubaix or the worlds is great in that respect. Having said that I'd say the strongest rider only wins the Tour about 60% of the time.

Holy fuck, I have never seen anything like that before.

Poor organisation, annyoing fans, jsut GTFO. Chris Froome was running up a mountain? Porte slammed straight into the back of the bike. Mollema taken out.

Surely they give Froome/Porte/Mollema thier time back?

Absolutely insane.

I'll post a video later. Mental.

Small gif

Not in a million years I would predict Froome running up the ventoux

Very annoyed.

Yes I think thatd be the only fair thing, even though biased me thinks this is possibly the best scenario for Mollema.

You'd actually be pretty lucky to make it through the race without crashing numerous times. It's just what it is at the speeds they ride, very dangerous. There's so many people each year that break bones and need surgery etc.

Mollema just got his shit together when he realised Contador will be on his team next year. Doesn't want to be just a domestique.
