Who was in the right? [Gorilla] [self-immolation]
Which group was in the right in this horrible situation?

Re: Who was in the right? [Gorilla] [self-immolation]
I'd say the only one of those 4 that wasn't "in the right" was the mom. I mean the gorilla was a gorilla and the kid is a toddler.. I guess relatively speaking the lion was most in the right given that it had nothing to do with the incident (correct me if wrong).
Also the zoo was in the wrong for having shitty fences, but that's somehow not an option
Great poll overall, 4/7

The gorilla was more than a gorilla. He was a hero.
Cecil had a lot to do with it because some people think he started the animals vs human war 1 year ago

Re: Who was in the right? [Gorilla] [self-immolation]
It was a tough call, but I've started to lend more credence to the (somewhat crazy) idea that has been going around of taking out the kid instead. He caused the gorilla to lose his life due to his action. I read articles about how he joked about going into the enclosure beforehand. Regardless, the gorilla is a National Hero who's body deserves to be set afloat on a flaming raft. Species loyalty is a overrated.

The question (purpose) of the thread is asking who was in the right. Is it Cecil the lion? How about harambe the gorilla? Hey maybe it's the child!

What a piece of shit. Taking out the kid may have been morally just, but I guess we humans stick together instinctively and maybe that's for the best.evilcheadar wrote:It was a tough call, but I've started to lend more credence to the (somewhat crazy) idea that has been going around of taking out the kid instead. Re: Who was in the right? [Gorilla] [self-immolation]
The guy who shot the gorilla was in the right. The gorilla already started dragging the kid around like it was a ragdoll toy, since this is how it probably felt about the kid. For the gorilla the kid was just an organic toy to have fun with, fling around, maybe even play some football with it and see if you can score that cascade with the kid.
So, since the gorilla was so dumb, it got shot.

The kid. He's free to hug a gorilla, it's in the constitution.

The gorilla wasn't flinging the kid he was protecting it.

Yeah, the gorilla pretty much breeched the kid's constitutional rights to jump in the pool and kick the gorilla in the nuts.

It dragged the kid around its ass, like it was a ragdoll. It didn't even understand what was the big fuss about it, it was just some meat doll you can play around with and squash it later, when you get bored.

The gorilla was afraid the shouting people were trying to hurt the kid so he was bringing it to safety

The gorilla is in the right. The kid is stupid and deserves to die instead.

All kids are stupid. Gorillas are even more stupid. So, what could come out of that?

Shouldn't have shot the gorilla. Let the kid and gorilla work it out

If it's about the degree of stupidity I would say the kid has the gorilla beat here. I mean I guess both were pretty much asking to die but the kid started it.

If you're serious, neither did the kid
