My son introduced me to the game... now i'm nagging him every day for a game haha.

couple of questions:

- i launch the game from steam (purchased thru steam also) and select asian dynasties. ESO online, all my decks have gone! is there a fix?

- i've got no mates. how do i join a clan?

Welcome to the ESO-Community forum! It is always nice to see new faces. I have moved the thread to a more appropriate sub-forum, and hopefully this will also draw the attention of other community members and help you solve any issues that you are encountering.

Now, for the first question, what do you mean by "all my decks have gone"? New decks can disappear without any reasons, yes, but only rarely did it occur to me. Sometimes though, we can easily forget to save the decks and hit cancel instead. Unfortunately, the only way that I know of is to make the decks again. which can be tedious.

For clans, it is not really necessary to join one. Also, the relatively outdated clan functionality is probably not up to the task for finding or organising games as well, so joining a clan should not really be a concern for now, as you will most likely get invited into a clan or even create a new one. What do you mean? Did you create some decks in single player and you can't use them online?
You must create new decks for multiplayer.

There is an XP mod which can help get your home cities to level 100+ after just one game. Here is some info about it: /viewtopic.php?f=80&t=12522

I appreciate your responses to date... I took them on board but am about to throw this damn game out the window or, ask for further advice & please correct me if I've misunderstood your advice

In summary:

a) OFFLINE Homecity levels mean jack shyt. To level up ONLINE Homecity (without using a mod) one must play online
b) Joining a Clan won’t help with above.... "Relatively out dated clan functionality is probably not up to the task"

I'm a noob & have never played online before which is hard enough... but without access to critical cards due to my homecity level, a couple of times I outplay someone but still get my azz kicked. Immensely frustrating. Nonetheless, I did suck it up playing 19 games & trying to be as competitive as possible.

Probably a long time since u guys levelled up but I have to face facts. 19 games hardly gained any levels at all... and that’s just for the 3 civs I’ve focussed on. It'll take forever before I can begin playing on anything like even terms. ELO rating will be forked by then. Tournaments... with only 3 half useable civs? Pfft". The only way I can see around this is playing staged games, building and destroying one another, alternating who wins as not to disadvantage the other. But that’s a big ask of anyone..

If there's a variation on this method or another way around it entirely, I'm all ears. Failing that, I appreciate your efforts welcoming & supporting me.. but this is more frustrating than rewarding and will humbly depart.

Foot note:
One of the greatest games of all time, still with a loyal, committed & talented customer base who have self-organised with such excellence, work so hard, selflessly fixing what they can, extending the life of the game & trying to encourage new players to join.... yet Microsoft leave a known issue like this? What they're saying to me is "we'll take all those extra years of revenue we weren't expecting fella's and thanks to you WarnerPimped for buying a legitimate version of the game you sucker but we aint spending a bloody cent to help your introduction to the game".

Hey, you really should just use the XPMOD, everyone does it. It takes like 5 minutes and you're set for life. Best way to get in touch with another player who's currently online to do the XPMOD is to ask on the ESOC Discord channel, there's usually someone willing to help
