Hello ESO-C!
Hello ESO Community! Super excited to finally be joining. Thought I'd introduce myself a bit.
About myself: I'm 19, from Texas (yeehaw I guess), studying computer engineering in college. Besides occasional gaming, I love music: write it, play it, etc. Not too much else to say.
AOE3 was the first real computer game I ever played. My father introduced it to me when I was about 6 or 7, basically right after it was released. I still have my first memory of it playing for a few minutes, if I remember correctly it was a 6 player ffa on Great Lakes, probably singleplayer. As the years and expansions passed, I progressed through the difficulties, but never took the game seriously. I only played singleplayer, so I had no idea people even played the game still. Then I found Interjection's channel (about 3 or 4 years ago) and a whole new world was revealed to me.
That's basically how I got here. Took me about 13 years to finally get involved online with this game, but better late than never!
Over the past year especially I've watched countless hours of tournaments, Smackdowns, streams, and all other content supplied by this awesome community. The recent tournament was amazing (congrats to snowww for the win!) I've done the occasional practice game with different civs and strategies, but only on singleplayer against expert AI, which I've found really isn't hard to beat at all.
But now is time to get serious! Finally made my eso account and I'm hoping my games go well. Ideally, I'd love to have the chance to compete in tournaments in the future.
Favorite civ has got to be the Aztecs. The satisfaction of attack-moving with 20-30 coyote runners onto a bunch of unguarded vills is unlike anything else in the world
Favorite strat would maybe be semi ff? Depends on the civ. Pure ff with china is very satisfying if done right. I'm just not comfortable playing colonial, except with Aztecs. Everything xbow-pike related that I've tried has been kinda trash.
I'd mention some of my favorite AOE players but I bet it'd cause a some commotion
Anyways, guess that's it. Hope everyone is doing well!

Thanks! Was classically trained (viola) but have a lot of influences from video games, bands like ELO and Radiohead. The music I write is basically contemporary piano kind of stuff

Bring the viola, I bring the cello

Nah, no way. I picked up that sirmusket=bad. Sir musket has a massive ego. Watched his stream once where he bragged about beating drunk kaiser. He put the screenshot for a good 5 mins and just bragged in his chat. Biggest waste of my time watching that stream

Nope, just american. Name was a spinoff of my old MC account. Got interested in mongolian history so I thought the name sounded cool!
