I installed NE last night and had some fun playing with new civs, but I have a problem. Why will my screen resolution not change ? I have put the correct settings in options but it automatically changes back and still has black bars either side. Can anyone help me out ?

I'm bummed this hasn't come to fruition Need to do at least a mini tournament like the ESOC invitational, except on NE. I'm sure at least a few dedicated players like @Aizamk

Indeed, I know people here play NE. I'd like to wait until the next version though, because currently civs are vastly imba. The next version rebalances a lot and does look much better. I remember when Aiz was streaming NE for 3 hours there were some trolls and haters (I think Neuron was among them) that endlessly badmouthed the mod. NE has its obvious flaws, but most of them will be gone in the next version. I just want to present a version for which I'm mainly responsible for, the current version still preserves a lot of remnants of the older NE team that I disagree with.

That's more than fair. And yeah there will always be haters... twitch chat is a bit like youtube comments sometimes in that regard

- Can't train units with hotkeys via Torp with Swedes.
- No specific hotkey for Drabant. Ruyter hotkey determines Drabant's hotkey. And it's quite problematic when you share the same hotkey for Ruyters, Goons, CA and WW, if you know what I mean.

I actually don't, I use certain hotkeys for specific unit types every time, like ,,C" for skirms, ,,S" for musks, ,,D" for goons and so on.

That's exactly what I do. Hence the problem, because drabant hotkey = ruyter hotkey.

Yea, I did try to participate, but to be honest it wasn't very organized and kind of died out it seems. Nothing against those who tried to organize it, it's not an easy job.
If another tournament pops up, I'd be willing to try again, though my knowledge of the new stuff is still pretty low. I think it might be better to organize something here on ESOC.
