Hey, just wanted to let you know I finished the map. As far as what you had asked me for this is what I have come up with:

-"roads" that run from each TC to the center of the map. There is not a treasure there but it is cleared as if there was one.
-Turkey Patches of 2 + Berries around the map.
-Gold that stays towards the center from bottom right to top left. Gold in the bottom left forest. Gold around the Mountain.
-A snow capped mountain in the Top right corner.
-Deccan treasures, levels 1 and 2. Can be anything else if you want them changed.
-Support for FFA, 1v1, 2v2-4v4
-Green grass that is placed in a spider-web-like fashion. (Its supposed to add lush-ness) it avoids the paths to the center.

I made a generic XML file, if you want a specific one like the fertile crescent would you mind uploading one for me?

If anything needs fixing/changing, i'd be happy to do so. Leave thoughts below :)

I'm actually excited.

I'll play a few games on it and try to get a replay up when that happens! Be aware of maybe future adjustments!!

Here is the 2v2 OBS Yellow River Basin. It is a completely re-balanced version of Yellow River. The resources have been redone, and the rivers have been removed. The natives also spawn in a different location.

The original idea for this map came in form of a dream (and request) to a guy I do not remember, but it is only loosely based on that map. It is not that map.

It has 1 Shaolin post and 1 Zen post.

Here is my OBS version of 2v2 Hex. It has 2 native iroquois (the vanilla guys)

Edit: 2-16-20
I have added Lake Tahoe, which is a significantly improved version of 2v2 Hex that is no longer only 2v2 OBS.

Ovi12's 1v1 obs Aracania

Changes from the original map:
-added a guaranteed 2nd and 3 hunt. Made the map obs, fixed water HC spawns.

This is my OBS 2v2 Antarctica map. It substantially smaller than most maps on land. There is plenty of water to fish from, but there is a catch. As Antarctica is a cold port, the only way to receive boats is to have them shipped from the home city. Docks should not be able to be built on this map.

I like some of these concepts a lot, wow.

Do your 2v2 maps work in 1V1?

Btw, when I try out fertile belt for example, this is how it shows up on ESO: http://i.imgur.com/Y1LMhDp.png

Fertilebelt is a map for yohomes' mod; the XML file uses file sources that are not in the game. They will be in the mod. I can probably release an XML file that will work without the mod at some point. (A very simple fix). I might also just release a re-textured version for my map pool and let that have the working xml. (seperate map, same feel)

If it breaks for any map other than fertilebelt please let me know immediately :)

I can add a 1v1 map for those at some point

Could you make an 8 player FFA map for me? I am really clueless on ideas, you could freestyle it, but i want it to be something new and fun. This is just for my small group of friends who are new to the game.

If you have any ideas for what you want it to look like (islands, cliffy, foresty, etc, that is really helpful. I can do it on my own, but it is helpful if you give me a little bit of direction. If you really have no idea what you want you could take a look on google for "cool landscapes" "landscape paintings" etc and link a picture of something you like for me to base it on. For instance, this is a famous hudson river painting that has given me a few ideas; and there are many more I will be able to extract from it.

I would highly suggest looking up "hudson river paintings" They are some pretty great landscapes from an american art movement a while ago.

Cliffy, idk if you have ever played AoM but there was this map and it was quite big and you started on basically a plateau, with 2 entraces, easy to wall and a decenet amount of room on the plateau. WIth ersources surrounding it.

Man that painting is nice. Here I am stuck in the Parisian region doing fuck-all when there are these beautiful landscapes in this world which I haven't seen. My life is meaningless. T_T

Thank you for the explanation on that Durokan btw. I really liked fertile belt as a map. Would it be possible to envision a slightly modded version of that map for actual competitive 1v1? I feel like you could use it for that.

Yeah, will work on it. What needs changing to be competitive? I can easily program lots of things but I don't have enough game sense to know what is the best at the highest level.

Oh believe me I don't have it either! I just compare how it felt to play around on Fertile Belt to how it feels playing on a good Garja map, that's all.

Just the positions of mines would need to be tweaked probably. For instance, adding two mines in the northern and southern forests (which are sufficiently airy for units to pass it seems, but difficult for building placement; an interesting feature). There should be a few more mines on the edge of the map as well, rather than having them all aligned throughout the middle. Perhaps the TCs should be a touch farther away from the edges of the map. I like the size of the map, it's quite big and I wonder how that would affect supremacy game play. Overall it's a super interesting map I kind of want to play a few games on it.

Then it would be classic things like adding some treasures, making sure that players get enough hunts close to their starting TC, etc. No need for TPs, I guess.

Hey, its been a long 2 weeks but I have finally finished and posted your map. (Really sorry about that; I ideally wouldn't let things take that long but I got swamped with schoolwork after many snow-days, practice started up again, etc)

Let me know how you feel, also dropping a link to the VOD once it is up would be awesome. :) If you like it, i'd be glad to work on Strong World Brand maps if you want. Let me know if anything needs changing, I did not meet your specifications exactly with the lines, but I think I made them close enough. Here is the attached version of my map. (see next post)

I'll update the map as much as it needs to be updated, as I will do with all my maps.

Note: The map is highly unrandom. It does not have a lot of variation in resource placement as a *perfectly* balanced and symmetrical map is almost impossible without static placement.

Notice: In an early version of the map the gold mine in the center would not spawn on occasion. I am almost 100% certain the issue has been corrected but if the mine does not spawn, even once in a million spawns, please let me know. I cannot test the map 10000000 times for the small chance that it might happen, so I assume it has been fixed.

Here are the files for iNcog's 1v1 OBS Guinea. It is a highly balanced map suited for competitive gameplay.

map is up, tell me what you like/don't and I can change it to make it better by adding more of what you like or less of what you don't.

As always, will continue to fix/modify things at your request.

This map is a copy of the age of empires 1 random map, Mediteranean.

Thanks for all the work for me and everyone else, it's really great. I have two new map ideas, I hope it's not too much.
