IV in the India mirror was smart. The proxy fb mid map in Dutch mirror was smart. Game 3 just felt like an awkward Aztec BO vs a misread otto eco semi ff.

@KINGofOsmane Since you seemed to have prepared for this, would you give some insights in the matches? I'm curious about what you thought. Was the otto build order designed as a counter to garja in some way (especially since garja is extremely unlikely to rush as aztec)? Was the india FI build order also done assuming garja would grab the TP line and had you practised against that? Did you assume garja would mirror your dutch?

G1 i only prepared india mirrior coz i knew he will klick into a mirrior no matter what
I also knew about the tp build so i just left an eli on his tp to see the hp go up and then i knew exactly what to do
G2 i thought he either mirrior me or plays azzy
I saw in past tourneys he always starts stable and makes 5 huss so i thought bsop bo does fine and i was also 10sec faster then him in this game all the time (coz of the treasures).
G3 i knew he will do the exact bo he did
I think my bo would of lost vs standard azzy bo but was worth taking the risk

Awesome, that's what I was thinking you did (almost hoping you did). That feeling when preparation works out just like you wanted to. Especially in that game one, I'm pretty sure it requires some thorough testing to realize that you do not have to contest the TP line. If you haven't tested that one I'm pretty sure one would panick and wouldn't be able to calmly continue the build order. Actually it's pretty genius to come up with that build order as a counter to a predictable garja style.
In game 2, as far as I can tell, garja absolutely fucked up the start. Theres no excuse for aging at 4:30 as dutch. I've done some testing and concluded that, in a dutch mirror, starting cav is actually only worth it if you do it with a bank wagon and I think garja did 700w first. Cav comes out to slowly then to do enough damage. And then it was actually just straight up well played.
And then game 3 is indeed a nice one. I was saying in chat that I thought it'd be typical for garja to overreact to such a weird build order while standard play probably wins. Turns out you thought the same haha.

Overall really nicely played man. I love it when someone comes up with such a genius plan.

My plan was not to mirror at all actually. Only if it would happen.
I was about to select otto in g1. Otto is best civ on that map I think. Or atleast it is superior to India (tested from both sides with several opponents). I just like India more and I've played 50 india mirror atleast in the last month so should have been ez. Also I knew i would do something new on that map with india so it would have been cool. And it was in fact it was ez (5 tp + map ctrl + matchin each age) till I went herp derp with macro and lost mahouts misrallied, mansbdar urumi in the side group of sepoy (redocats still killed lot of vills rofl). Lost like what, 20 vills to 3 huss and 6 redcoats with total map ctrl. 2/10 game.
Dutch mirror was just fail too. First of all that was the slowest market start ever (and god i lost every single treasure contention yesterday). I went for the 700w cav semi which honestly just sux. Straight ff is even fuckin worse. Dunno why everyone is naked FFing with dutch. I guess becuase 5 banks is so OP that you might get away 90% of times because opponents are bad and dont counter it properly. Bank wagon cav semi is much better. Then I canceled rax for 2nd stable and canceled 1k w for 8 skirms. 1/10 game.
Game 3 I knew he wouldnt revo but will mass in colo or fortress. I played this strat many times in the last month. 3wp 700w 600w 2wh is the main build. Can adapt at any point if needed. Here not needed cause he was also fish booming and cav start are not an issue vs wp boom (can get anti from anything with proper micro). Ofc i played like the worst aoe3 i did in the last 2 months so i lost anyway. 1/10 game.

This was easy win honestly. Wouldnt have been much harder if he did wall sheaningans with japs on malaysia or even good build with japs o Thar since I didn't have india anymore and jap can just try to raid aztecs on a map like that. Also jap-dutch is not bad for jap and dutch/russia can be ok without tps and jap getting advantage with treasures.
I just got too anxious for this match which was the first of my tourney (previous opponent forfeited). I've played more than anyone else so far and then didn't even have the chance to use that because it takes 3 fuckin weeks or so to get a game match. Honestly I just hate this format. It encourages random play instead of hardcore nerding practice. Tourneys should be 1-2 week long at most, possibly with all games played in the weekend.

Garja it's time to accept you're not actually as good at this game as you think. If it would be so easy, then prove it. So far in all ESOC tournaments you've proven that nothing is easy to you.. This is also pretty disrespectful to kingofosmane who played really well.
