Re: goongoon vs. mitoe
I veto Indonesia and Wadmalaw.
My schedule should be relatively free this weekend, although I may have to give my roommate a ride to the airport sometime between 13 and 16 GMT on Sunday, but I don't know for sure yet.

Re: goongoon vs. mitoe
@goongoon Please respond. I messaged you on Skype almost 4 days ago, and no reply still. I know your schedule is not very flexible, and I'd like to be able to get this setup as soon as possible so that I can adapt my schedule if need be.
Re: goongoon vs. mitoe
Sunday preferably. I answered on skype.

Did you not earlier mention you could feel kaiser in your bones?
Fine line to something great is a strange change.

That'd be good because Sunday 19 GMT ish would be the perfect time.

Yeah this is kind of ridiculous...
A last minute time set for the Autumn Championship? No idea what the other 2 vetoed maps are? How much viewership do the FINALS need to lose before ESOC mods step up and take control of the situation? It looks highly unprofessional IMO and makes ESOC look disorganized.
Hopefully something will get set very soon

how is that esoc's fault ? comments like yours don't help at all
Re: goongoon vs. mitoe
@rafamundez what do you propose? Should we ban the finalists from the event?

In any tournament for any event (sporting or otherwise) in the world, the tournament organizers either set the time/date in advance or apply heavy pressure to get an agreeable time/date well in advance (in this case a week in advance would be fine). I'm more-so pointing out that it makes ESOC appear disorganized rather than assigning fault. It is (maybe?) 24 hours until the match starts and we don't know what maps are being vetoed or the time set for the finals. I've never seen anything like this in any other event so something needs to be changed in the future IMO to prevent things like this from happening.

In any tournament with professional players thats the case. In casual community organized tournaments it's not. It's unreasonable to expect people who arent playing professionally to make changes IRL to accommodate you wanting to know when it's gonna be played more than a day in advance.

No but as it would be in any professional event, there has to be repercussions. Whoever is causing the delay or whatever should perhaps be forced to lock in the first pick for the first match OR loses 1 of their map vetos, etc. or something on that level

6.5 - Failure to issue the veto in time will result in your opponent receiving your veto; essentially giving them two vetoes

Re: goongoon vs. mitoe
The mistake, in my opinion, is that ESOC made the news post before the players had agreed on a specific time (Mitoe hasn't even confirmed sunday afaik). goongoon and Mitoe are both very busy though so a pre-set time sounds kind of ridiculous as does expecting them to agree lots of time in advance but more pressure from tourney admins to get a time set sounds reasonable.

That's true, but this is an amateur event organized by the fan community. It's is not a professional event. I leave it to you to google the difference between the two words.

You make a good point though, I don't know what the solution is but something is better than nothing IMO.
