Why did we see so many mirrors compared with the Spring tourney?

I guess it's the only way to make games 100% balanced (At least in civ terms)

1. No (Less) Aiz, Boneng type of players.
2. Better players didn't want to do mistakes which cost H2O finals of Spring championship.

Still interesting, if you know you are not the best player in a 1v1 series vs someone, why would you mirror? You must be very confident to play mirrors. At least that applies to me.

Because that way, everyone can practice 6 match ups and no one needs to actually take the time to figure out and understand this game in depth..

Yeah, that makes sense. But that doesnt explain why we did see less mirrors in the Spring Championships haha.

But, then the better player will change his civ to get it back to mirror and the not better players in this tournament were not as resilient as Boneng.
e.g. Acer vs Samwise series. Samwise always changed his civ to match Acer's.

Ye, but imagine if Acer really didn''t want to play a mirror. Then it would come down to a blind pick.

It really was the biggest downside to this tourney. In the end the china, japan, india, brit, german, aztec and france mirrors started to bore me.

That's because of the map. On kamchatka, hudson bay you can play many civs whereas on Tibet you have to play china, on cascade india, on indochina azzy etc.
That's garja's fault. Also if players could play the same civ each game, they would play their best and we'd have more diversified MUs.
