Thank you. We must not refer to things that do not exist, or misrepresent my role. On top of which, the change has little to do with balance.

@EAGLEMUT @Kevsoft would it be possible to include a "savegame" button in the drop-player screen as well? That way you can save the game before the other player drops and resume when they reconnect.

In case we're talking about the same thing:
EAGLEMUT wrote:- The "Unresponsive Player" dialog now allows any player to save the game on his computer using a new Save button (this does not affect the voting). In this case, the savegame filename is in the format "unresponsive_recovery_", followed by date and time of save.

what's illegal is illegal. The changes are great, the intention is good but if it is breaking the law, well, so it is.

Big noob question: Why is Thar Desert considered less standard than Cascade Range?

Pretty sure Thar is more standard, besides the dunes I guess. We discussed that in some other thread and zoi disagrees

Good question.

First, "standard", in the context of this map-set, primarily refers to civilization viability, map layout, and natural resource availability. Second, Thar Desert has significantly less food and wood than Cascade Range, resulting in a lower civilization viability, overall.

After considering player feedback, and reviewing the map-set, I was on the fence about Cascade Range, ultimately opting for its inclusion. Admittedly, a few of the maps in the set (Cascade Range, Herald Island, Malaysia come to mind) aren't very standard.

I am trying to maintain a certain standard here. The map set isn't called "everyone's favorite maps". Hopefully, we'll be able to introduce that, soon enough.

Among many things, I'll poll it for EP7, to get more player opinions on the map-sets.
