JiaHoJian wrote:Just inform you that I have just encountered a serious bug when I was playing DE on my Mac using Parallel Desktop. I was finding my friendā€™s game in the hosted game list. I suddenly saw that the game list was empty, so I tried to restart the game. Then I saw that my Steam library was entirely empty, entirely page was empty, Store page was empty as well, only the text of the top menu was left. I thought maybe my Parallel Desktop was bugged, so I tried to restart Windows. After that, shockingly I found that my Steam app was missing as if it was getting deleted by unknown reason.
I knew that there was a critical bug in DE which would delete personal files by accident. So I thought my Steam app possibly got deleted by DE.
Looks like we got a new report from two days ago: viewtopic.php?p=506555#p506242

I have just received the response from the DE team, it seems like Mac isnā€™t the platform that they originally supported, so they wonā€™t address this issue on Mac.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Age of Empires Support. We are sorry to hear that you encountered this issue, and we apologize for the frustration it has caused. Since you are running the game on Mac, you will need to reach out to Parallel Support for assistance on this issue, we do not have the tools to work with that software:

I suspected they might use that out. How cheap of them.

The Mac version is the same version, right? It just runs in parallels?

If so, it seems like that would mean the problem is still present on the Windows version, too.

Seems likely. If they had actually found a solution they would've immediately implemented it everywhere.
Can't believe this is taking so long to solve.

Haven't seen any in a long while, and I browse all the relevant AoE3 discussion platforms regularly.
Also, MS seems to now have an official stance on the issue, although it isn't yet posted in the main thread linked here.

Its already been confirmed that eaglemut installed a keylogger into his mod that stole everyones credit card information and erased their C drive after. They fixed it by disabling mods.
