Gotta fix this rec thing. I just can't watch aoe3 at 80% speed even if it's sped up in the luls.

Honestly i agree totally, it felt like i couldnt find a rhythm throughout the games. Each game was essentially playing back at either around 50% or 150%. It got to the point where i was realising i was not enjoying the casting was after we had finished the 2nd series and was about to start the 3rd.

even watching back a rec now on my own not streaming, replay speed if you don't touch any settings was around 70% but dropped to 60% if you selected the slow speed option (the option you select even after the gameplay speed is increased).

I had an idea of maybe castings recs "offline" and uploading youtube but the slow rec speed is still there and cant be avoided. Im not even sure I would want to cast another 2-3 hours of recs like this at the moment which is so honestly such a big disappointment about this game so far

I agree, but unfortunately there's nothing to fix from our side. The alternative is waiting until mid-2021 to host any tournaments. It's got me pretty unmotivated to do anything with aoe3 for sure.

Honestly it should be one of the top priority right now, as it's just impossible to showcase the game without a correct way to stream games.

Could you screen capture the rec playing and then play it at increased speed whilst casting over that?

Well the point of a rec is that you can somewhat control what you are looking. If you are locked to the player vision it's much less interesting.
