Post by n0el »

Image ESO-Community.net is proud to announce the details for the first sponsored event, the TakkCafe Cup. Generously sponsored by Takk.Cafe, an app that helps cafes and coffee shops improve the experience of their customers, the TakkCafe cup will feature eight players and supplement the Table Topper. There will be a $500 prize pool for the event, and supplemental prizes for using certain units. This event is open to all players who have not qualified for the Table Topper; with the top eight players by ELO selected at the end of the month. If you would like to signup, please post here with your steam ID.

Interesting sponsorship, never thought a legit brand / company would take part in an ESOC event but it's a pleasant surprise.

It's a bit odd to put a cup under a table topper.

On behalf of TakkCafe app, i want to note again what a great team of organizers this community has and I want to thank them for their hard work and say how excited i am about this cup. Takk app is a startup currently based only in the US (might expand to UK later) and have a small budget for ads. As an avid aoe3 fan i thought i might throw a bit of money to be the first sponsor of an ESOC event (honored) and support the game/community I love in the process. Obviously it is an experiment - so if you work for or know of US based coffeeshops who can benefit from our pre-order / loyalty / local delivery app please send them our way to takkcafe.com. I dont have any expectations - but if i get someone to sign up because of this event, I will be back to sponsor future cups.

As for the format, this cup isn't really related to Table topper - this is a "stepbrother" event as Drongo said :) I just thought that the awesome table topper started by Elitegaming had left out a lot of the players i like watching, so this is for them.
