Sure, when we're getting close to the first series I'll probably drop some messages in the media team discord server anyway

Even if it's the Legacy tournament with Legacy civs, the changes of DE cannot be ignored. I wonder if the games would still end up becoming a one liner like: Spanish Logistician/Peru Revolution/Yabu+Yumi+Walls/Ports+TM/Any kind of 'new meta' turtle play the opponent hasn't actively researched for, let's say the British 9 minute Colonial age up.

God I really want to see some good old high level French vs Germany type games. The days when the games were quicker with more military interaction in general. Also will try donating every time Japan is defeated.

With the kind of players who lined up I would not be very worried.
ESOC : came for the game, stayed for the drama.

Why not play on EP? Surely it is a better patch for competitive purposes.

Since the last major patch the legacy civ is in a good spot imo

I think these were nerfed, right?
Honestly if weird DE additions like spain logistician or peru revolt are still deemed broken by high level players, I wouldn't mind banning them at all. Though let's keep in mind it's 1 game 1 civ so there's less room to abuse stuff overall anyway.
Mr_Bramboy wrote:Why not play on EP? Surely it is a better patch for competitive purposes.
Because everyone is on DE now. I doubt most old players want to get used to playing EP again. And I doubt most new players want to watch a game they haven't played.

The balance is probably in the best state it's been. At least from a legacy standpoint. Really cool idea. Will be nice to see some Old AoE

Looking at purely re civs, balance seems like it’s in a pretty solid spot at face value. Gonna be interesting to see what happens though.

@Kaiserklein is there somewhere we can donate money for the prize pool?
