The pandour (one of the new anti skirm units) I saw in one stream had 5 speed, 40% RR and 30 attack at 20 range with a 2.5 multi against skirm plus 1.25 vs HI (someone correct me if any of those stats are wrong)? That just seems insane right? With such a high base attack it does at least as good a job as a skirm of countering HI; it will demolish skirm wars and can always pick it's fights with 5 speed

These are the unit stats, so close. its 170g, probably 200 or 220 would be a better cost.

Yeah so less attack than I thought, but still more than a skirm, and twice the HP along with the 40% RR, 20 range and 5 speed. How is this even remotely balanced?

If it's 170c that's close to the cost of a Jaeger. Assuming these are age 3 stats, I think it's a situational anti-skirm Jaeger replacement that's much less effective against heavy infantry and downright ineffective against ranged cav.

If anything this unit discourages going for heavy skirms against a civ with poor hand cav, other than that I don't think it'll be too impactful.

yeah the couter skirms are all either mercs or native right now,

btw has anyone tested how they are affected by counter infantry rifling?
