RO256 - RULES
It is indeed forbidden, but not using it should be enough.Disqualification Rules
3.1 - All external exploits and game modification software are forbidden. The tournament administration reserves the right to disqualify a player for use of any exploits to gain an unfair advantage.
3.2 - Exploits include but are not limited to: Map Hacks, Trainers, Explorer Revival Glitch, OOS / Intentional Lag (Stacked downloads or other game crashing exploits), and mods (building rotator, zoom modification).

damn didnt know such a mod was there.. :Odeleted_user wrote:divinemoon wrote:wtf is a zoom modificator?
Zooms your POV out further than the options will allow, letting you see a larger part of the map on your screen making it easier to spot raids and such.
its not a part of ekantas mod is it? (thats the only one i used briefly) building rotator is a fun mod..
helps plan towns to look better &' then lose consequentially as u spend time "beautifully "aligning" the town :hihihi: :bravo:

Idk for sure, but I do think that the building rotator mod gave defending civs an unfair advantage because the could place their building better. I do agree that it should be banned because it changes the attacking/defending dynamic. . .
Also, wasn''t the building rotator mod allowed last tourney?
RO256 - RULES
The reason the building rotator is banned is because it has the potential to give one player a tangible advantage, of which the other player has no option to use because they do not have it installed. If every player had it installed, it would be different, but since we cannot guarantee that, we decided to just say that no one can use it, in the interest of keeping things as fair as possible.

It helps any half-decent player win, that's what it does...
How do you intend to detect zoom mods?

I don''t see any reason why they would be banned. . .

So, just to clarify, does this mean that any modification of config files affecting gameplay whatsoever is forbidden? I mean manually implementing the agra fort hotkeys for example - http://eso-community.net/thread/212/agra-fort-hotkeys.mitoe wrote:The reason the building rotator is banned is because it has the potential to give one player a tangible advantage, of which the other player has no option to use because they do not have it installed.
