Yes it includes mirrors without mirrors these are the stats
British - 8 - 2 - 25%
Japan - 5 - 1 - 20%
Aztec - 2 - 1 - 50%

I feel like pick rate portrays balance much better than winrate though. If some bad guy is playing lots of british then that's going to have a very significant effect on their winrate.

It's just people are wrong Imo, Brit is not the best civ. They lose 7-1 if the stats includes the 5 mirrors, not 8-2. This civ is just rly overrated. The real top civ is obviously India for me.

I wouldnt draw conclusions from that. Brit is the best civs , if played by a competent player. Also dutch WR dont represent the civs strength. Yes that civ can feel very stupid under some circumstances. But im convinced that they are not that great if people know how to play vs them ( which I have yet to see). I think I could win with any civ that im familiar with vs dutch, altho in a tourney setting id just mirror dutch because Im confident in dutch mirrors.
Conclusion: you cant draw any conclusion.

Sure, you can argue that Brit is more difficult to play than other civs, but I don't think they're the clear top civ. Opposing civs really do have a lot of counterplay against British just because they burn through natural resources so quickly and often over saturate resources in order to keep their vills safe in the early game, on top of being somewhat limited in their unit compositions.

British shine on maps with lots of resources, but even then they aren't perfect. Their options aren't exactly limited, but a lot of your good follow up options are slow (slow age, vet ups), and often concede map control for a short time, which can be painful in some situations.


@lordraphael While I agree Dutch isn't as strong as most people say they are and that people don't properly abuse their weaknesses (myself included, oftentimes--I like to try new things vs them too often), the fact that they're playable to nearly the same degree on every single map makes them a very solid civ overall.

alsho, brit best civa. Clearly. No chance. And china fi ftw. The cav training nerf was totally retarded. Obviously the shorter train time was intended cause only 4 in a batch. Duh. Now you can only get 16 in the time other civs can get 20, on top of needing to have all res before you can train the batch. EP?More like RP. RETARDED PATCH?! Yes.
