Yea i guess BO9 is pretty hard if it ends up with 9 (long) games. You played well, with 5 water maps you would have won.
And ye i indeed prepared a strat for g1. But after all the other water games i can tell you my strat would have failed too.

A fantastic finale to a fantastic tournament. The new structure involving qualifiers and placements with use of Esoc elo, the amazing scheduling prep and effort from staff and the map pool rounding out to a total 9 maps and no more, there was literally nothing I could complain about. Great job staff and congrats to both Kynesie and Erik. You two outdid the bsop H2O series not just entertainment wise but sportsmanship wise as well. Truly happy to be a part of this community

you almost did lol, but your eco was too good. tbh, i think he couldve won the game at that point if he just went full musk raid all over the map and kill your factories. but he was too passive. but the TM was a good idea if you maxed out and camped with some mixed unit comp like u did the 2nd time.

Although they are very entertaining players both in skill & sportsmanship, I'm also really happy that the tournament finalists are different almost every season.

After 7 seasonal tournaments we have seen 14 finalists, consisting out of 9 different players. (H2O, BS_OP, LordRaphael, Mitoe, Acergame, Samwise, Snowww, Kynesie, Goongoon). Only once have we seen a finals with the same 2 players (H2O + LordRaphael).

These games were so much fun to watch. Thanks for scheduling at a convenient time for many people to watch. The sportsmanship between you both was/is lovely and I really appreciated the lack of flaming from not only you two, but from the chat as well.
