Error during installation - Error reading from file ~\art2.bar

I'm getting this error when installing the game from a disc (or 3).

I've already taken a look to see what I can find on this error, but I'm not finding anything helpful as they're all 7+ years old. Things have suggested getting it on Steam instead, but that's money that I'd rather not spend if I don't have to, as I already own it and both of its expansions.

Full error:
Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires III\art\art2.bar. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Is there a solution to the issue or an I going to have to buy it again?

Someone sent me a copy of that particular file and it seems to be working fine. I guess my file was just corrupted.
