Hey there!
The game doesn't like that my user folder is shell'd to another drive.
If my documents folder is left as Z:\Documents than it'll take longer for the game to load and when it finally does, it's like a fresh install, no profiles and default settings like visuals 1024x768 etc.
Now if I Shell my user folder back to C:\Users\Acans\Documents than it is capable of saving profiles and settings etc, so currently I must change it back quickly every time before I start the .exe than change it back to my settings once the games launched.
Is this because the C:\Users\{USER}\Documents is hardcoded in the .exe or is there a registry value somewhere I can edit to change this?

Re: Cannot save profile/settings shell'd profile
I think I do recall other users have trouble with getting the game to recognize documents folders on other drives. I believe the game does a windows API call (though not sure which one, that would take a little digging to figure out) to lookup the path of the documents folder, but perhaps it fails and falls back to a hardcoded value if it's on another drive, not sure.
