Unable to creat account

I bought aoe 3 complete edition .
Today in order to play with my friends and while it works perfectly fine doesent let me create an online account can anyone help me out please .

i have already tried that it gives me an error i think it was [100] bad cd or smthing cant make account

was it new? I know that with this game once the cd key has been used on the physical copy you have, you are SOL.

No the game was brand new i opened the seal .

No the game was brand new i opened the seal .

The old physical copies of the game often have a bad CD key which no longer works. Refund the game and buy on Steam instead.

I dont think that the seller that i bought it from will accept refunds is there another way to get a key?
My friends both had the same problem and somehow someone fixed it for them .
