Hi, I have to abuse the powers of tech savvy people here, thanks in advance!
Since yesterday evening I am unable to play any sort of videos on my pc, whether its youtube or twitch etc.
I tried clearing the cache and cookies etc, but that didnt help.
Interestingly enough at one point my pc decided to deactivate my sound device, which enabled me to actually play any video again - just without sound obviously. When re-activating the sound device (doesnt matter which one, headset, speakers, or standard device) I am not able to play videos anymore again. All i get is a black screen on the videos with the loading animation. Help pls

Re: video playback / sound device question
did you try turning it off and turning it back on again?
jk, it sounds like a sound driver problem. has there been any bluescreens (i had this when my old pc decided to fk the audiodriver)? have you had problems launching games? did you try updating sound drivers/chipset drivers?
maybe somebody can confirm or deny but i think vidoecard drivers also include some audio drivers these days too, right?
also did you check another browser to be sure? like if you're using chrome try firefox and maybe even internet explorer for the lulz. and you haven't plugged any new devices in pc recently yes?

Re: video playback / sound device question
works again, i de-and reinstalled the audio drivers, which was a huge pain in the ass, since its packed on the nvidia graphics card and its impossible to find a suitable driver on the internet for just audio
