AoE 3 on win 10

Hello People,
I recently upgraded my pc to windows 10, which is free and legal from Microsoft. Windows 10 looks very good, but AoE 3 is an old game, i tried to run the game, it did work. But I have some problem with the screen resolution, My win 10's max resolution is 1600x1200, so was my AoE, I tried a lot but 1600x1200 on a 4:3 looks very wierd. I even change the compatiblity mode to all type of version, even though the resolution remained same. Also the game hangs every second. Is there any other solution for this please? Will AoE 3 be good in win 10?

AoE3 should run on Win10 without too much hassle.

You could try to set the resolution to 1600x900, it might look weird but it should run? I don't know. try different resolutions

It didn't work for me either, but then I tried to run it with Vista compatibility and it worked. Don't ask me why because i don't know

But that isn't my problem. did you try Vista SP2/SP3? it worked me too, but the resolution sucks.

1600x1200 can't look weird in a 4:3 monitor, cause its precisely 4:3. I had a similar problem on w10 and making a clean installation of the graphic card drivers worked for me.

Anyway upgrade an entire OS is not the best option, much better to format and make a fresh install.

Is ESOC irresponsive or something? I feel lonely without playing aoe 3....man.. Plz help me, or tell me whether there is a solution or not.

Change your resolution to 1600x1200(That's the max Screen resolution i got) in the game options, and try to play a game with that option and just tell how do you feel..

My max resolution is 1600x900.
