You can take your dog on an aeroplane, all you need is a pet passport and you're good to go i think, so that's basically to check it doesn't have rabies, because we don't have that in the UK.

You should never give chocolate to a puppy. If its an adult dog once in a long time if you give very small amount of chocolate its fine, but still you should just avoid it altogether. Theobromine or Caffeine in chocolates is dangerous to dogs (humans too).
