Alright everyone, here's another big series. The winner qualifies for the NWC LAN! There are no second chances this time though. Today will mark the first qualification through the lower bracket, after this, there are only 3 spots left. Things are heating up for sure, but let's talk about these two players...
Soldier has been looking solid recently. He's been playing a lot and has had a strong tournament performance thus far winning every series in the upper bracket by a comfortable margin! He looked set to have a strong showing vs Diarouga when they battled it out to qualify, but it seemingly fell to pieces being defeated 4-0. Something clearly went wrong. Nerves? Civs? Something. Today will be an opportunity to prove himself and he's already switching up his vetos - banning New England this time (Deccan vs Rouga). Regardless of the outcome, we're expecting a strong showing today.
Hazza, meanwhile, has been tearing up the lower bracket - we sort of expected that though. He was banished from the realms of the upper bracket by Mitoe earlier in the tournament during the round of 16 which was an unfortunate pairing so early on. But that's exactly why we settled on double elimination for this qualification event. Hazza will also be looking to qualify today and secure his position in Manchester. Today will be a tense series and it's hard to call which way it will go. Eitherway, we expect a great series and look forward to bringing you some awesome AoE3 action.
